Locals speak out at Town MeetingSlow Growth is the Consensus.At a recent town meeting, members of the community spoke out and expressed their opinions and concerns. The majority spoke about slow, controlled growth and continuing the recreation we have now, plus adding more programs to encourage growth in the area of agriculture and equestrian use. Lucerne Valley has the open spaces and the ideal climate. It all makes sense to keep growth in check and be sure the quality of available services does not suffer because of the greed of a few unscrupulous developers. Lucerne Valley already has a well-planned large Golf Course Community being developed that will include high and medium density homes. We probably won't need more small lot housing tracts; most families are attracted by the large lots and open spaces we now have available today.
